Do not cry for me, Carolina Now my sun has touched the sea. I don't want the tears on your face To be my last memory. Remember the wind, Carolina As it caressed your auburn hair, The morning I first saw you Dreaming in the sun splashed air. Cradle me gently, Carolina Let my heart beat once more with yours. Fill me up with your essence, As my soul soars over the moors. Dream of the days, Carolina When our love was fresh and new, And I could see forever shining In your eyes of bonny blue. Lay me to rest now, Carolina Weep no more for me. I've honored the vow I made you, Til death do us part, you see. Do not cry for me, Carolina. |
