Looking from the outside
she hid her feelings well
Even those closest
could never even tell

She painted a picture
of how her life should be
and lived in the images
so no one would ever see

Looking at the picture
the years seemed to pass
even she belived
the images she had cast

Like all pictures
time takes its effect
the picture slowly showing
the ages of neglet

Expressions,
are the most important aspects, they create impressions

Wow, it's so good to see your name in here again! A tender read, Fee. I suppose we all hide from ourselves sometimes. I know I've done it myself, too many times in the past.

I agree I think we've all done this. I know I have created a lifetime habit of hiding behind the image. Good write, it rings true.
