If For Just One Moment If for just one moment in time I had your heart and you had mine Would I say you were heaven sent? Or worth a pain filled moment Would I wish to hold you near? Or would I have fled away in fear Would I have said yes love me? Or refused the touch of you totally? I believe you are worth any sacrifice I’d willingly submit, pay any price This love is true it fills my heart Which silently started to fall apart Before your eyes caressed my face I hadn’t experienced love’s pure grace But now I know love’s tender touch And that I’d miss you much too much If I knew that this was all we had Would I have wasted it being sad? Or wouldn’t I rather turn the key Releasing our love, setting it free Do you think I’d refuse our chance? To join together in fires dance Wouldn’t you rather I gave us this A single instance of utter bliss I know that you are my destiny As I belong to you, you do to me There isn’t a doubt in my mind That if I looked within I would find Your name marked all through me A sign saying I’m yours completely No matter how long, we have now We’ll get by some way some how Marsha To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |

Mushy, love the title....I think I have used very similar words myself....Sort of goes hand in hand with "If Only"..... Those nastly little "IF" critters....what would we do IF we didn't have them??? If just for a moment of trace as fingers touch a gentle face when kisses shared are of just two Just only we...me and just you.. If just for each other one glance would love fall or have just one chance as lips brush from a warm embrace IF just....only within this place See what you made me do.... Excellent poetry darling girl....you always pack a punch in your purse of poetic parcels. |
