A child's dream
A simple prayer
Heaven's arms
Await her there
Drops of water
In her hair
Elfin dancer
Graceful mare

Golden aura
'Round her head
Her blood crimson
Never red
Serving alive
Never dead
Always spoken
Never said

She stares skyward
Drinks its tears
Angels singing
Piercing ears
Cloudy footsteps
Comfort fears
Dies in moments
Lives for years

Rocks of flesh and
Hearts of stone
Gentle whispers
Shatter bone
Though a mortal
She has known
Places that no
Man can own

Priceless birthright
Gems for all
She has three stones
Each is small
Where she dances
Others fall
Heaven speaks and
She stands tall

A child's dream
A simple prayer
Heaven's arms
Await her there
Drops of water
In her hair
Elfin dancer
Graceful mare

There is nothing simple about this.  It is, to me, a shattering piece of work.  There is a lot of depth here, and as you encourage critiques, I would ask where your inspiration came for this work.  And I am looking forward to reading more from you!

This is a very personal poem to me, and I cannot dare to explain it fully.  However, I will say that I was inspired by the effects of a service I did to one of my dearest friends.  This service made us bond in a way that neither of us could really understand.  I had to write something about it, and this is what the result was.

Then your friend has someone very special in her life.  Again, I am going to look forward to your writings.  I do believe you have a very special gift.
