There may still be three feet of snow up here but it feels like spring!!!! Awakening Southern zephyrs warm the chill To thaw the grip of winter’s will Birds from winter homes ascend Sweet signal of spring’s impend Idle creeks rise high with pride Cascading laughter fast and wide Flushing clean their winter’s bed Of debris left by autumn’s shed On naked branches leaves unfurl Waving greetings in their swirl Sleeping forest begins to rise As sun sits higher in the skies Flowers bloom, blossoms swell Captive of spring’s magic spell Nature rejoices, it births anew To winter’s sleep it bids adieu Awakening it sheds warm smile With promise it’ll stay a while |

Brian~ Spring is here! YAY! I live in Ontario too, except in the Southern part, but we still have a bit of snow to get rid of too. I can't wait until it's all gone! But enough about that, back to your lovely poem The cadence is so smooth and seamless and your rhyme is perfection as well...you've truly penned a lovely piece tonite sir I enjoyed! Hugs, ~Krista Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself. |

This is gorgeous, Brian. Three feet of snow? I'm happy as anything that ours has melted for the most part. *crosses fingers so it will stay that way* Good to see you again. ~sky I'm in charge, and I say question authority! |

feel that sun on your face, Brian. I know what a fleeting thing summer is in Northern Ontario..... I used to live up there... the winters were way too long for me..... Glad to see that spring is here and summer is just around the corner.... Love, Light and Peace, Sherry Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. |
