come to my valley, lady tree
be my forest in mornings
let me climb your tall limbs
and touch your knotty places

wear my hands on your fruit
let me savor the ripe ends
and the slick of syrup that seeps
from my manhand touch

leave your leaves of covering
on the bank of our stream
give me the bare of you
don't fear my eyes there

but let them climb between
the places you have parted
let them fill the shadows
that whisper secret dreams

come to my valley, lady tree

DS what a sensuous and beautiful piece this is, it delights my eyes, and tickles my senses with visions of heat and fire. Never do you fail to show your artistry and superb form in writing, metre and rhyme. Utterly utterly fabulous writing skills. You have to know I utterly utterly love this one

(smiles) Awwwwww, this is sooooo passionately beautiful, sweet friend, this made me feel like a little boy again reading this; I know this feeling too where you fall in love and you feel like that happy child again in your heart climbing trees and performing somersaults on the lawn when you're in love (big hugggssssss) This is soooooo lovely, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

DS

I look at nature differently, after seeing it in your poetry.  Good morning..into the coastal eddy.

Just once, I'd like to borrow your eyes and write the way you do!  This is excellent, vivid writing, it's yet another keeper~

I'll go out on a limb and say that I love your Knotty shenanigans! It's too cool how you've realized the arboreal potential of the female persona.

You've given treeclimbing a new meaning to me....See ya at the top.

I like how Linda says it, you can't see the forest through the trees, (much less get  across the damn stream).... do I look like wonder woman or what?  It's pretty dark out there sometimes...and you dear Sir do it justice!
