Intuition It seems to be a pattern, like the wood grain surfaces collected in this house; just as dust motes settle and the rock rose blooms, winds rush from the South, balmy with false memories. For years, I’ve crept Northward, miles plus miles away, for reasons unclear because I lacked clarity. First, a dramatic move of naiveté - sweet bursts of youthful hope without limits or sanity; enough to ferry two very unlikely people into sanctimony. Later, in desperation to cling to an ideal of family; a quick recovery onto two feet, a middle finger in the face of odds. Every risk taken has been tied to a compulsive desire for security. I see the irony, now I watch and listen as all angles of reality quiver, lose their resolution; and a melting compass points in one direction. ©2002 Corinne Bailey [This message has been edited by Corinne (05-15-2002 02:36 AM).] |

lacking clarity and seeing irony...I love this piece! Corinne...I can't say why I love, but the concept hit just right. |

Held prisoner by a heart searching for the privilige of being loved in security....I can see how that happens....excellent presentation! |

BRAVO!!! Wow, I for one think this is a wonderful poem you should be proud you wrote; I got that feeling of clarity exploding and incinerating and how it is so ironic to see every direction leading somewhere when there is really only one way! (kiss on cheek) This is excellent, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Coriunne, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
