6 degrees My great great grandfather died in a hard fought war My great grandfather drank so hard he up and hit the floor My grandfather hit his wife so hard she ran out the back door My father was an S.O.B. that went out to the store And me, I am a good step dad but step dad’s are just ignored Six degrees of separation, son, please don’t make it more |

Wow Way Out...this is interesting, the way you write. Sad poem, but a reaching poem, and one I'd like to use as a teaching poem. "Biological vs. Step" is how I see this view, and it is so very true. Blood does not always make the best parent, and it's a pity there's not recognition for the steps that are honestly more of family to children in what I like to call, "today's traditional family".
