We said it once...whispering softly the sound of goodbye, of you and me We felt the touch, making it so tough Knowing the words, would be rough We shed a tear, shared a sob or two We gave it all, so delicate, so true. Our love sharing with such emotion Every word given, so much devotion. I grasped your hand, holding so tight I whispered softly, lovingly this night I sobbed and trembled as I listened for this goodbye surely was destined I love you now as I loved you then I’ll love and remember all within I’ll keep your memory close I will Till time and heart both stand still. The thoughts of you I surely keep as my world takes me into sleep I’ll carry you forever in my soul even as the last of our bell’s toll You have been such a treasure to me So warm, so wonderful, don’t you see I’ll leave you there, a tear in eyes As we tenderly share these goodbyes. You know... |

Magnus darling boy what an utterly beautiful goodbye this is, so tenderly soft so heart wrenchingly aching. You know I love it, how well you write of this goodbye, how beautifully you sing the song of soul’s farewell. Absolutely beautiful writing darling heart exquisite I love it utterly utterly utterly. Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |

Magnus: no greater schism, i think, is when part of ourselves are cleaved, and then give ourselves to another, away perhaps never to meet another day but we save the good and the memories within when life experiences wear threadbare, thin but no person may take from our past that which we loved; that which lasts this is one of your better works, in my humble opin clear, and heartfelt with the ring of truth. jkf |

I know what Good-bye feels like to, Barry. My husband and I had this night 16 years ago Valentines Day freezing our buts off outside the chapel at our youth retreat.... we had no Idea that we would be reunited 13 years later.... What a sad poem!!!! and so beautifully and masterfully written... I feel your grief. I just hope that there is a happy ending out there somewhere waiting for you.... Love, Light and Peace, Sherry Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. |
