There is a Moon

There is a moon, that’s pouring out the splendor of its light
Onto the jagged fingertips that reach into the night
The barren limbs of sycamore are thinly edged with rain
And tipped with fingernails of ice that scratch my window pain

It’s worth the rise from slumber’s bed to visit winter’s scene
Each bush and tree is varnished with a coat of icy sheen
That crackles in the gusty wind as limbs sway to and fro
And scrape against each other in the soft celestial glow

I breath the cold that penetrates through clearness of the glass
A whiff of cold refreshing me through January’s blast
I could have stayed all bundled up in quilts of downy puff
But just to hear the crackling trees would never be enough

Sometimes your curiosity can lead splendor’s bliss
That inconvenience often blinds and causes you to miss
If I would ever have a choice to see or not to see
I’d wake from dreams of make believe to certainties that be

(smiles) Awwwwwww, I love this, sweet friend, I too always tend to dream when I wish of something but yet I feel somehow I can distinguish what is certain and what is not sometimes! (kiss on cheek) This is lovely, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Well written, Liz.  This flows like silk and is so beautiful and wise.

Take care,

Hmmmmm.... I don't know... *S* The land of make believe I visit is pretty dern nice... and the only certainty around is often the werk monster. *G*

Seriously, I love this, Elizabeth... looking out on your landscape brought a breath of fresh crisp air into this hot humid morning. *S*

YES Liz,  dreams are just that...dreams
and reality is something that we face every
day....

There is a moon...certainly is...and it is
real...

There is a poetess, who is pouring out
the splendor of her ink~
Onto the pages blue, with fingertip thoughts
that reach into my think~

Soooooo enjoyed this~
