She had calmly collected cruel intentions
and the uselessness of avoidance
was akin to sand grains
trying to avoid the slow insistent pull
of hungry waves.
Whether by instant gratification
or the slow deterioration
those sand grains will always find their doom
in the come hither arms of a seductive sea.

I've seen that movie one too many times.
I wouldn't have wanted to miss your poem
