"The sky is the limit."
You’ve heard that one before.
But I’m here to say,
the sky is no closed door.

Above and beyond,
below and in between,
wherever you wish yourself
is where you really can be seen.

But you’ve been told,
"You can’t do this,
You can’t do that,
You can’t be all those things!"

I guess it’s a good thing
you don’t always listen,
for sometimes deaf ears
hear more.

So the next time someone says
"The sky is the limit,"
just show them the door....
the one that isn’t really there.

(sigh) Oh Kacy, I couldn't agree with you more, sweet friend, I find that saying to be absurd in a way because after all, how would we had ever thought of astronomy or learn about the stars if the sky really is a closed door? (kiss on cheek) I believe the only true limit is the limit itself! This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Your reply makes me smile, Noah. 'Tis true, the sky is not the limit, and you have already learned that lesson so well!

Now that's a cool verse, Kacy!

for sometimes deaf ears
hear more.

like Duncan, i was particularly taken up by the above lines...clever and concise...

it must be a bit exhausting to find a common saying and write a twist to it..nice work!

My friendly faterider, it's not so hard to twist a phrase. Just think of all the cliches you can, and you'll find one you just have to turn around. Thanks for the reply.
