God@heaven.com

Faith stained fingertips print upon 'send,'
typed of smiles in waiting, anticipating.

First email: no reply,
second chance: "user unknown,"
and, the third time: "undeliverable."

But, then again, I've always known this.

It's okay God, really it is,
you're too busy, I understand,
so, I'll just hit 'delete'
as heart words weep a blank screen.

(big huggsssssss) Oh Melissa, this is so very sad, sweet friend, I know this feeling too well but I know deep down that he doesn't mean to ignore you and it isn't he has unfinished business to take care of, He truly loves you and before you know it, He will send the most beautiful greeting card to your heart which will open you to the eyes of loves joy! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Melissa, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Very intriguing. I really think this one required much thought and creativity. Sad, though, the idea that appears to be behind it. I hope you find what you're looking for, never give up, it's out there.

I've read this several times...on first reading, one could just call it "cute", but I've thought about it, and I like the analogy much...I think everywhere we go, the search for "God" continues...I'm just trying to avoid the fatal errors!

Another winner, Melissa!

Yanno yer crazy in love with the internet when ya try to e-mail God! ROFL! I know the tone of this was more serious, and so was everyone else's reply, but I couldn't resist being silly today. I adore your writing.

I'm quite surprised that I received so many replies!  When I posted this one, I assumed that it would quickly fall to page 4 lol....
Thank you everyone and many of your comments touched me and made me laugh.  It's good to see so many different viewpoints and emotions evoked from just a simple poem.  I don't even know if I should call this a poem???  Maybe it's a stream of consciousness diary entry in the form of a poem??  Regardless, I really appreciate the support from all of you
