You’ve been a Mom to many, That were never quite your own- Offered them stability, A routine and a home… Saw worth without judgment, Took the time to understand- Teaching family values, And what it takes to be a man… Built friendships and trust, Kept silent with room to grow- Had a keen eye for bulls**t, Because a mom “just knows”… Learned along with them, As mother always does- Granted hugs never-ending, No reason- Just because… Saw inside a lonely boy, Who needed mom just then- Showered love and light, With ritual discipline… Your stern hand and laughing heart, ~More than words could ever say~ You are solely responsible- For the man I love today… Just a loving reminder to my mom in law...lucky to have her!!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

  (smiles) Awwwwwww, this is so sweet of you to write such a gorgeous poem for her, sweet friend, I believe with all my heart Mothers Day is not just for moms but mothers-in-laws and moms of all sorts too!
