I’m Innocent It is not an oxymoron I’m to innocence as day is to night As like an angel as black is to white I’ve tried so often to be sweet and good But things never worked out quite as they should I can’t say no to a questionable dare If someone say dare ya then I’m there My ethics aren’t up to close scrutiny If you want trouble then you’ve found me I could pretend to sweet naivety But what’s the point no one believes me My reputation has always been bad Which surprises me somewhat and leaves me sad What does everyone expect that I’ll do? Surely they know all those tales aren’t true I couldn’t have done all that they say Not even if I lived for many a day Innocence I do innocence I can Just don’t let it be in front of a man I don’t know why but they seem to know That I’m no innocent, as my sins seem to show I don’t know why I fail yet I do But I’m just as innocent as any of you Innocent yes I am don’t laugh at me I’m innocent until you can prove I’m guilty Marsha To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 [This message has been edited by Marsha (05-09-2002 08:34 PM).] |

No you are not. I have it on good authority this is not an Oxymoron. What is even more clever, is that Sun just posted an Oxy thread in the PipTalk Lounge. I think she would want you to add your two cents there as well! |
