May I Be a Poem?

May I be the white glowing down from the moon
Piercing your window to gently enwomb
The gold of your hair and the warmth of your skin
Without invitation for me to come in?

May I be the silk in the sheet that you clothe
Wrapping the soft sculptured grace of your pose
Enfolding your limbs with the gentlest pleat
Caressing the silence of dreams as you sleep?

May I be the lavender scent that you breath
The purple of dawn on the white of your sleeve
The flow of your gown and the wet of the haze
The droplets that cling to your warmth as you bathe?

May I be a whispering poem that will give
The phrase that you cherish as long as you live?

This is beautiful, you are indeed a poet.  I'm new here and I'm almost embarrased about my writing ability in comparison to yours, this really is wonderful!

Noah, I always enjoy your remarks, Thank you

Melodie, If your poetry comes from the heart, and touches someone, it is good poetry. PLeas don't ever feel embarassed about what you write, for it is from your experience and your spirit and can't be compared with anyone else's Just write what you feel, and it's sensational! Thanks for reading and commenting

BSquirrel, LOL, THanks for the sweet comment

Dear Liz, your soul seems etched with poetry which we are all very pleased you share, your gift lifts us above just reading, to a place of peace and rest where thoughts can find time to reflect.

A much enjoyed read.

NOW you ask permission? LOL Lady Santos, you've already done that so many times. *S* From your hearing what isn't said and seeing beyond the masks to your unsurpassed ability to paint poetic pictures that sail into my scrapbook, you ARE poetry. *S*

Ah Liz, you are a cherished poem and friend.  It's no suprise that this flowed from your pen, you always write such graceful beauties.  My library is begging for this!

Take care,
