I need to know
before the night is through
do you love me
as much as I love you

I need to know
before the break of day
do you feel love
from the words I say

I need to know
before I drift off to sleep
do you want me
heart forever to keep

I need to know
before going to my bed
do you need me
on those days ahead

I need to know
before I kneel and pray
do you hear me
although your far away

I need to know
before silence screams
do you realise
you inspire my dreams

We all need to know...it's part of what keeps us going. I really like this poem a lot. Nice job. So much better than a "do you love me?"
