Who sits and watches world at play, to sometimes turn and face away?
Who finds emotions build a wall, to stop the thoughts one might recall?

If children cry the pain felt tears, of grief each day and on through years
Who simply stands and walks away, when heart felt trust one does betray?

I sometimes weep at shows I watch and find it’s time to go
Emotions build up deep inside, just why, I do not know

But it affects me for a while and makes me further think
Of life and all its ups and downs, why many smoke and drink

My environment’s a simple one my needs are not too high
But sometimes, nearly every day I ask the questions why?

Does it all come back to standards and the background that we’ve known?
How many like me turn away when grief, when pain is shown?

That’s life I guess and through each day I’ll give it just my best
And through it all try hard to smile and get through every test

For life is every moment, the air we take, the paths we make
People are the instrument, who roles do play, till passed away

these are my lines I ask myself everyday...

Hi there gentle rambler..questions, confusion, and down right chaos sometimes. I'm just glad I can still grin and bear it, cry about it, and feel like I can help someone through it. We are poetic confusion dear poet..and you spill your heart and thoughts so well..

Sincerely,
Reg

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Rick, this is so very true, yes, we are all instruments of today and we all sing our own songs and together we are all inseperable in spirit! (sigh) These are such powerful questions, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Rick, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Life is full of questions and a lot go unanswered.

That you live simply is the way to be, I think, makes for a happy life.
