Can You Feel It

Last night I watched you from across my dreams.
You, always appearing so confident in your sit.
Me, always leaning into you, hoping
to catch every last movement from
lips that say more than the heart allows.

I can't resist the touching of you,
my fingers wanting to absorb your warmth
as I reach to sense your thoughts through feel.
I'll be there, I try to let you know,
even when I retreat into my need.

It will always seem like the first time we met,
when I knew, it was you
and the sounds of nature became the rhythm
to which we danced.

Maybe tomorrow, the calm will return,
the clouds will move on,
the sky will open up
and let the sun peek through
as it was on that day.

You will take my hand in yours,
walk me through the paces of your past.
fill me with your sometime dreams
and relive that magic moment
when you became the answer to my want.

As these words rise on my horizon,
this morning is lost
to the unchanging wish that remains,
even when the last branch falls
and you no longer can climb and peek inside,
I will be standing before you, in wait.

I can feel loving embrase, memories of love, sadness and longing, how wonderfully you have created this picture that let me into your heart, I hope that these feelings will come again for you.
