If I had everything, There would be nothing left to wish for. If I had it all, I would have no desires. If I were always happy, Soon I've become complacent. If there were no obstacles, I would have no goals. If I saw all of the beauty, I would be overcome, My senses too intoxicated To recognize that beauty When I saw it. If I were never sad or angry, How would I distinguish happiness? If it never rained, How could I enjoy its warm Or icy cleansing? (Again-it's a rough one.) |

Exactly. Take the bad with the good, and vice versa. Desire brings suffering, but it also feeds life. Enjoyed. |
