I'll never be a friend of poets My name is ever forbidden They treat me like a verbal pariah and keep my brightness hidden No songs are sung to my goodness No verses writ ‘bout my need pining, I will always wait for someone special to sow the seed To find the essence of my being To take the segments of my soul To write about the glory of me and somehow make me whole. Until that time, I find my ease alone in summer sunshine and plot revenge upon you all by withholding this name of mine |

probably wrong here, but it could be a cliche..but a cliche isn't an object..well..depending on how you look at it! LOL! OKAY! I know i can't guess it, but I like this anyway. How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so. |

Delightful poem, with JUST the right clues, Sharon. Let's see. We know it starts with the letter O, and I'm guessing it's a plant (seed and summer sunshine). With segments? And if poets don't like to use the word, I'm guessing it's because there are no other words that rhyme with it? Am I getting warm? |

Sharon, No poets' delight, so difficult to rhyme, but sweet to the taste....an orange, Ms. deVine ? If not, then I am completely in the dark. Loved this. Joanna What better way to become immortal than to wake up each day and write? Ray Bradbury |
