Split Second Understanding

I must take a split second,
Ask you to understand
That even while seeming
Conspicuously absent,
The importance has not
Lessened...nor has this
Circle yet been completed.

Time does disallows our
Push. Understand
That while you ascend
Higher in the spiral
I am reaching up from
The center; that though I
May seem distracted,
Thoughts of you remain
In the forefront of my
Mind; I know where my
Heart lies.

Understand that I read on,
Read on...and my muse murmurs
Into my ear,
Yet that the first touch of
My fingers to the keyboard
Renders me wordless,
And my muse deserts me...
Fluid notes escape me
And so I keep the silence.
