Moments of Still

In the evening quiet
birds break out in song
while the babbling brook
tells a tale of yesterday
as it flows along,
distracted only by
the occasional ripple
of a leaf landing
upon mirrored waters,
drifting into a journey
that has just begun.

Set of Eve
dresses in colors
of melancholy
in reflection upon
the waters of life.
In this sanctuary
of serene tranquil
I am surrounded
by peacefulness
allaying my spirit
in moments of still.

my heart and soul have not been into writing as of lately, but a quiet night along the creek banks allowed my muse to breeze by for a few moments....
but she didn't stick around long.....
