This Stranger of Deed

We had a discussion, this stranger and I.
My words of aloneness cutting through all,
Deciding that maybe that is what shall be.
And she saying not, you should wait patiently.

What's so wrong with aloneness, what is this to fear?
Why am I scared of not sharing this life?
Maybe it just isn't meant to be,
Pep talking myself, I say, well I'm free

To do what I want, whenever and how
And time is all mine, no excuses be said.
But she said she made it, so why couldn't I,
I smiled, then she hugged me as I said goodbye...

She said come back in, let me know how you are.
Such small talk evolved when I asked for her help.
She gave me more than the item of need,
This stranger whose warmth filled todays, with her deed.

(sigh) We can all ask ourselves this kind of question every now and then I am sure, I suppose we just fear to be alone because after all, what is a life for if you can never have someone hear your contributions to life's genteel universal melody? (sigh) This is a powerfully thoughtful piece, sweet friend, we all love you so much, never worry about letting them all pour out, I always enjoy reading your work! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I know,Maureen.  This is a good poem, I see how often a stranger can touch my life, and it starts to feel like maybe there are more friends than I thought.
