Just waiting she sat cross-legged, there, on the bed the invite was there, gone unsaid when she was busy oh he needed her… when she gave time he feared of his sure years separated their generation gapped too many wrong words left them sapped damn but her dreams had been forever now here they sat on edges of never sharpened words in wait to commit the sever she sat cross-legged on dreams still young a strangled song gone unsung |

perhaps at the window she saw the reflection of another that carried her youth on his sleeve deca, can imagine this scene but a new day waiting just outside enjoyed the view of it all |

The first part made me think of a flirtation... with a world of opportunities ahead. *S* But then comes the sadness of opportunities lost... the story of all too many lives. *S* Well done, Deca... I like this! |

'too many wrong words left them sapped damn but her dreams had been forever now here they sat on edges of never sharpened words in wait to commit the sever' This hits way too close to home, but, regardless, this is an excellently written poem...I like it a lot... sp And though my heart feels all alone without you |
