How many times have I forgotten to say that I am lucky, in more than one way How many mornings have gone quietly by When I forgot to kiss, to say goodbye How many days has not there been a hug How many times, have I walked away, so smug And....remember the moments when I sat there Quiet and angry in that rocking chair How many evenings beside the fire missed Moments together we could have just kissed Little things I forgot to remember while I sat there, in my stew and simmered. I’m sorry for moments that didn’t make the candles burn bright on our loving cake I have no excuse, I’ll cut through the crap I didn’t tell you, it’s me who’s the Sap |

"I’m sorry for moments that didn’t make the candles burn bright on our loving cake I have no excuse, I’ll cut through the crap I didn’t tell you, it’s me who’s the Sap"   (sigh) Oh Barry, I know just how you feel, sweet friend, I think we can all have these feelings of regret, but deep down I know that even while you may not always be able to have the time to love someone every moment like this, she will always know how much you think of her and that will always be enough as you continue to love her sincerely! (big hugggssssss) This is a powerful compassionate piece, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing! TD...wisdom?.... Sure, only took me almost half a century to start applying some of it. Guess that happens when you finally open your eyes and start seeing some of the things you had all along...and didn't give them the things they needed as well... Mind you, I am still far from perfect... and surely I will never be that.. Thank You! |
