Sing me a lullaby, temptress of mine Lull me to lay enraptured with thee Lost in the world, lost within time Whisper sweet nothings to me. Sing in the voice I love better than rain, That lilting song I love to hear. Sing that loving and pleasing refrain, Whisper it soft in my ear. Be my muse, loved one, sing to my soul Lift me higher with each verse Touch me, heal me and make me whole Give my soul suckle to nurse. I feel thee within me, holding my heart Giving wings to my every desire You’ve lived there, my love from the very start Lighting doubts funeral pyre. You fill me with instincts, make me aware Of the pathway that leads to your shore. And take me softly and lead me there So that I wander no more. So sing to me siren of song and desire Sing that I might find the way To find you and keep you and take us higher Flying farther every day. To a dear lost friend, once again found. ~RSE Chivalry is not dead. I saw it coughing up lung butter last night, but it was still alive. I think it has parvo. |
