Hi Everyone,

A friend of mine sent me an email today asking for help, but I have no idea how to fix the problem they are having. If one of you has any suggestions I would appreciate it very much.

Here is the body of the email ...

Hey Jeff,
                   I have not gone back and tried to uninstall comet cursor program thought I would put in my virus scan first then they suggested I do a scan before I go on the internet so I did this is what the results were :
           Files to be found infected ...0...
1.    File name:..C:\_RESTORE\ARCHIVE\FS2444.CAB
    STATUS:....POTENTIALLY UNWANTED PROGRAM
    PROGRAM NAME:...DIALER-RAS.ai
2. FILE NAME:...C:WINDOWS\NDNUNINSTALL4_50.EXE
    STATUS :... POTENTIALLY UNWANTED PROGRAM
   PROGRAM NAME

IALLER-RAS.ai
there suggestions:
          CLEAN                QUARINTINE               DELETE
           ON THE FIRST ONE I COULD NOT DO EITHER ONE !
           THE SECOND ONE I COULD NOT CLEAN , BUT..IT DID QURINTINE IT...
              SO WHAT SHALL I DO NOW ??

This person uses McAfee antivirus software.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

First thing to do is check the website or run a search for the specific virus names. Also the site may have virus specific removal tools. They will usually take care of the problem and adjust the registry. if not or you are unsure, contact macafee support.

i wouldnt' worry about it - if it's not listed as a virus and it's quarantined to boot, very unlikely that there will be any problems.

thanks for the replies guys I think they contacted McAfee and got it fixed
