Rememberance The rememberance, once, of times past Echoing through eternity; Never looking back at the laughter, Yet unable to forget the tears. As I stand alone And watch the sun settng Slowly, ever slowly, I know a new day shall arise, Though out of the ashes of destruction, To acheive the peacefulness of a new dawn Until the silence is shattered: Car horns, shouting; City sounds Plaguing my mind. No rest is possible Until midnight returns, Bringing her silence to the world again. |

*hands you a bottle of scary smooth and a blanket for that sunset....* it'll make the sleep come easier and all those noises in your head a little quieter... |

Very good. I like the way that you are able to control the tempo of the poem with the line Slowly, very slowly. I wish that midnight would bring me silence, I'm glad it does for you. The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love another. |

(sigh) Oh Ringo, I think we should only remember those memories of joy and hide the sad ones as it only comes to curse us again! (big hugggsssss) This is well-said, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ringo, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

I know where you are because I'm standing beside you. As a certified insomniac, I believe the midnight hours are my favorite...the quiet is my friend, even if the memories aren't so good. Lovely write the only man worth your tears will never make you cry |

Yes I can relate too. Beautifully expressed. The real deed is when you can find silence amidst all the noise! WITHIN. It's easier when the night collaborates .... yes. Margherita |

Thank you all again for your kind words.. It's very humbling to think that my meager attempt at words have found kindred souls. |

to be frank nothing was spectacular about this poem. yet, it moved me profoundly. the idea of not looking back on laughter, only tears is one i truly understand. as is the wish to remain only between dusk and dawn, passing the whole noisy day without conscience. you simple words rang cleary as a bell over smooth waters. -majnu |
