I rub away the impression
that was burnt behind my eyes.

An eyelash finds itself at the tip
of my ring finger.

Just like you,
I could destroy it if I wanted to.

Hold my eyes shut and think
of how she stole a glance
from you and never gave it back.

Blow it away.

Open my eyes
force them to see
my idea of love
floating to florescence.

I enjoyed this poem, very good connections.  My favorite line is she stole a glance.

The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love another.

Don't think I've read you before this but I hope to see more.

Captured much with few words...

Love the concepts. Like the subtle,

"at the tip of my ~ring~ finger....

Enjoyed,

the_loner_23,
Thank you. I worked at capturing certain images.

rkcraig,
That's interesting, because this is the third time I've rewritten that piece and the "stole a glance line" is the newest addition. Thanks.

passing shadows,
Thank you so much.

Pat,
Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoyed. No, I haven't been around in awhile, but it's good to be back. That's so cool that you caught those subtle things.

Fred,
Thanks .

Enchantress,
Great to hear, glad you enjoyed.

(big hugggssssss) Oh my gosh, I just love the symbolism in this, sweet friend, eyelashes are so hard to remove from an eye and the impressions can be haunting though you can still always glimpse! (smiles) I happily cast my vote, sweet friend, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Susan, this is a really good poem. I don't think I've read you before, either, but hope to read more in the future.

Amazing, what depth the blinking away of an eyelash can uncover.

Yes indeed!  Faboulous images, wonderful portrait painted in 'angelic' form.

JP,
Thank you muchly, kind sir. Glad you enjoyed.

bsquirrel,
This originally started off as just a 3 line poem and that was one of the few that has survived all the drafts. Thanks.

PDV,
I'm so glad it caught your attention. Thank you so much.
