A SHatTering
of peace
like broken glass
shards in fields
where you'd run
barefoot
if not for me

LOL, I thought it might confuse a little Plant 'slips' are cuttings...small pieces of the WHOLE that can give rise to a whole new plant, when planted and nurtured properly.

Sometimes single thoughts and words can do the same.

The words "I apologize" can really help a relationship grow.
I know, it's kind of an out-there-in-space concept, but it seems to fit in with what you said in this poem.
