Stuck in a moment

I closed my eyes,
and spun around
a few dozen times,
circled the globe,
tried a few,
tossed a few,
got the boot by one or two,
this hold you have,
on the lovestruck one,
from starting point,
to finishline,
make a wish,
heads or tails,
cross my heart
and hope to die,
if only to kiss
the final goodbye,
the toss of dice
i'm sad to say,
still ends on you,
my loverboy
