It is only when I am still
I start thinking of you
My love for you was real
As well as the pain inside too

If my love for you had been fake
It would not be so hard
To just stop thinking about you
And you would no longer be in my heart

There was no pretending
When I was there with you
I gave all I could give
There was nothing more I could do

As I sit here in this house alone
I wait for that one certain day
When all of the pain I now feel
Has just all gone away

Until that special day
I just keep myself so busy
And focus on the dreams I have
That mean so much to me
