Will ever the Twain Meet

I stand the shoulders of my dreams.
In search the secret of its reams
The epitome of shadows roam
The empty space beyond the dome

They are two worlds that live inside.
And only one can I abide
They pass each other in the night
And paradox within the light

One throws shadows on the other
One that gives and one that smothers
One that beams in ecstasy
And one that seems but prudery.

Which is the true, which is the rue.
How can I make a one of two?
Where is the scale that weighs the source?
How sets the sail to sail the course?

There is one problem with the rhyme
Do I really have the time?

You are the Shakespeare sonnet of my rhyme ...
like Frost, Poe,  and  Twain ...
your poetry shall remain long after "your time."

Morning, Seymour

It's good to see you this morning, and with a very delightfully wise poem. I love it, of course.....

(smiles) Yes, you truly captivate the spirits of the great writers, and because they went between worlds is what made them valid and credible! (big hugggssssss) This is remarkable, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Here I am Sy!!
Snowed in we are!
You wouldn't believe it..almost up to my waist..but then, I'm short.
...and I do tend to exaggerate.
Just sat down now to read....
And this gem was worth the wait.
Sorry the tea is so late today...forgive me?

Sy,

So sorry I'm this late in answering, busy day, but have a little time now to simply say Janet Marie said it best. I so agree with her.

Love your poetry, ever making me think, feel and ~believe~......

Thanks, Pat

Make the time! *S*

So many things clamor for our attention... but we need to live, not merely exist. *S* And rhyme... especially yours... nourishes. *S*
