The Drive Giant drops like paint without color Splatter on my windshield Wipers flicker like butterfly wings Desperately fighting the wind Ahead upon a hazy horizon Golden arrows streak the sky Slick black carpets of tar Line the earth There is no beginning there is no end Tires wet and slick Struggle to stay in-between the lines of the road I am a child gone astray With the last of a favorite crayon Rain drops spreading wider, falling harder My heart harmonizes With the sound of thunder I am on fire I am moving fast in the hour of speed I am running free without constraint Wheels pushing against the earth Till time marks the beginning Till time marks the end [This message has been edited by SimplyGold (04-13-2003 05:56 PM).] |
