Calling On Angels

Here in the depths of my worst fears
with layer upon layer of life heaped on my shoulders
there’s so little I can do,
except call on angels -
angels showing no sign of having heard.

Jesus -  please come down off that cross,
God knows if I had any options,
I wouldn’t bother you,
but if death is the only door I have left,
then I want to walk through it with you,
and if life still weaves a trail for me,
I need you there to guide me around it’s curves.

Calling on Angels. . .Calling on Angels

Fly to Him,
tell Him I’ve lost my heart-soul
to the agony of living in the emptiness,
the absence of what He’s all about.
Tell Him, just tell Him
to climb down off that cross,
to walk in the soles of my shoes,
to feel the death in my heart,
to show me the way to live. . .
in emptiness.

Jesus – Please climb down off that cross.

Calling on Angels. . .

Calling on Angels.

This is not about me in any way what-so-ever.
The phase “Jesus – come down off that cross” came to me several months ago,
and today I finally decided how to use it.
I hope it works.

It works.

Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

Oh, my! I guess you do not really have need of this "angel's" help--and that is a good thing!--but I will offer words of praise for this empassioned and poetic piece of writing!

Jesus wants you to call upon Him first and always in times of pain and trouble.  You have done so wonderfully here.

Did you hear the call for all angels, for it seems this angelic write is inspired.

jwesley, this is a really touching poem. We all need angels to help us make it through this life. Thank you for sharing this.

Jesus – Please climb down off that cross

Now, you made me look at that cross in a different way...which is good...we can all do with another way of looking at the world...
