~*~ ~*~
There is a child within most of us
we need not hide so deep
The part of us that never grows up
it is so much fun to keep

Whenever trials and pain of life
seem to take its toil
If we call upon the child within
we will find it has a roll

The child within is a refuge
when hard are storms of life
To offer a smile from memories
of when we knew not strife

Bringing to us laughter
and joy from deep within
Helping us to know that
life is possible to win

For so much in this life
could unhappy make us stay
Maybe for part of the time
we can laugh, have fun and play

If we will let our child self
take over for a little while
We may find upon our face
a happy little smile

Ethel,
My dad's name was Teddy. Needless to say I like this one.

Chris,
thank you. I like to play in the
garden, too.
Don't you just love teddy bears?
.
.
Kacy,
thank you. To want to keep it is
a really nice compliment.
.
.
Eric,
thank you. I'm glad that you
like it.   (didn't know if you'd
want a bouquet of flowers.)
.
.
Linda,
yep. We could go to the park and swing. Okay?

Nancy,
thank you!! Like I told Kacy, for someone
to want to keep it is a really nice
compliment. I appreciate it. Hey, it's a
lot of fun to act like a kid, isn't it?
I like to swing, too...

Martie,
isn't it true? Having fun and acting
like a kid sometimes keeps us younger,
I think. I know you love your flowers, so.....
.
.
Margherita,
I believe that, too. And "laughter is
the best medicine".
Flowers?
.
.
Alicia,
thank you for your reply and for
writing such a wonderful poem that made me
think of happy times. A rose for you.....

.
.
Heart Hugs to you all,
Ethel

I love ducks so much just as I love all of Mother Nature's creatures! When I see a mother and all her baby ducklings follow her, it always makes me cry in joy because they look so cute waddling! Yay!

Ethel~ This brought back memories of my childhood. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing. Each time I get to visit my grand children I get real childish and get down in the floor to play with them...Paul
