it was 3 AM and we were poaching for crocodiles or maybe alligators somewhere in the Louisiana swamplands I was juggling a shotgun and a bottle of southern comfort which I found to be a bit ironic for all the obvious reasons mosquitoes do not sleep or break for breakfast even when you are breakfast and all the rustling in the water had me wondering what in the hell I was doing here I vaguely recall someone offering a large sum of cash for bringing them the equivalent of the head of Alfredo Garcia some ******* Id been drinking near confused me for his friend and said “let go get us a gator” dragging me out through the door and into his truck I was too drunk to argue and was kind of curious as to what the hell these people do besides cook gumbo and throw knives at dartboards that however was 2 hours ago my curiosity now lay in where the hell I could find a way out of this muck and into some dry clothes I hit the bottle and started searching for higher ground all the while waiting for my legs to come off or perhaps an arm into the jaws of a local resident just as I was getting a foothold on some land in the distance; an explosion and then a human howl broke the relative silence then nothing I didn’t give a **** which of them had died and started looking for the truck when I found it I threw the gun in the cab and went to sleep in the bed rising with the sun I made my way down the road staggering like Id been shot and eventually came across what passed for a highway somehow, I was able to thumb my way back to the bar finding my car all alone with the gravel I drove to the hotel showered and passed out whatever memory I once had about the questions in progress left me in that slumber and we are all better off for it [This message has been edited by Drexler_McStyles (04-10-2003 10:29 PM).] |

*groan* I used to juggle SC and a pool cue. As for alligators?...I left them behind in Florida. |
