Sit with me awhile, And hear the tales I tell Listen to my memories, And let them ring a bell Awakening inside of you A taste of days gone by Of hopes, and dreams, and Wishes too And how we let them die. Let us reflect on deeds forgotten: The silly things we did. And smile again remembering the memories that we hid. For the attics of our minds Are filled with dusty treasures; with days of sadness, days of joy And long forgotten pleasures. And whilst remembering we will see, that there was much we lost, that there was really nought we gained, Yet there was much it cost Then maybe we will realize We need to start anew, To feel old feelings once again And one more time be true. Come, sit with me awhile And hear the tales I tell, Listen to my memories and let them ring a bell... |
