Martie’s Mountain…

This
Is the light in which she
Spins, here, in mountain’s glide
Of leaf and pine…

This is where
The pines reside, the ping
Of gone gold leaf and leave….

There is where the ash
Did fall, the golden heart
Of youth….

And there is where
The red fern grows, the capture
Of sheer truth….

For in the sign of bolden’d wish
For the love of one gone high
Is where this love of one whose squish
Of hugs are heard on sigh…

Martie’s mountain is a place
Where some fair feet
Might trod…

But this is where the heart of
Martie is heard by
one true God…

Good Lord, help me lighten her
Of heavy, heavy heart…
To hear her child but once more sing
As poems spring Martie’s heart.

Karilea, my dear friend...your thoughts and caring ways touch me like sunshine on a cold morning...thank you for this lovely poem about Michelle...she is pleased I know, and so am I.
