I do not profess to be a poet, but there are times when the union of pen and paper produce results favorable to my eye. I hope you feel the same.

As passion rises high,
you breathe and then you sigh.
I trace your lips with a finger tip
and I gaze into your eyes.
Deep pools of blue,
I'm lost in you.
My thoughts run wild...
You shyly smile,
then softly kiss my lips...
Sweet embrace; beautiful face,
you slowly pull away...
A perfect ending; a perfect night,
awash in the glow of the front porch light,
I breathe and then I sigh
as passion says.... Goodbye.

I enjoyed your poem and look forward
to reading more of your work.

Oh, guess what...we are all apprehensive
in the beginning. At least you didn't make the
mistakes I did trying to post my first one.
