Like Waters What can flow like water? Look at its gentleness So polite in movement. Careful not to be so rough Fetching what the wind throws In a manner even where silence is too loud. Listen not to the water But what the water attracts. Its quietness reserved for water bred species. Water’s earth before it was land’s. A silent sanctuary too calm and ordinary For the busy bee… No pollen for him here. He must find his plant Grown for him to pollinate. Back to where the water ends And the land emerges. I like this. It has a simple, yet elegant feel. Cool, refreshing, pleasing well done. Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn. |
