Is the love between
mother and child
a natural thing
a bond from the womb

Can a child unborn
feel the desire of
the heart it is under
the love of a mother

When is that bond formed
and can it be broken
can a hatred fester
can that cord be mangled

What happened I'm asking
to that bond I should have
why don't I feel love
where did it all go wrong

Failure isn't failure if a lesson from it is learned ~ KS

OH, you rang a bell for me here, sad to say. Emotional rejection, physical rejection...at birth or soon thereafter, break the bond that was intended to last forever, tying together similar bodies and souls of a DNA chain that stretches from past ages into the future.
I can barely comment here without drenching the keyboard.

Wise words...I believe the experts say that a bonding between a mother and child is essential...especially in the early years...James

ok, so then my question is:  If no bond is made between mother and child, can it be formed later in life?

I believe bonds can be formed at any time, with people who relate to others.  The mother-child bond is a very tenuous thing - sometimes it is very strong, sometimes it is extremely fragile...

but it is always there.

Even when we think it has disappeared.
