Night shades beckon my steps, out from under the burnished bright light that lays claim to my borrowed innocence. A warm and calming embrace I'd welcome now, if only to remain hidden from the sun's return. So I walk out into my allotted time, giddy and aroused, sated from rage for a moment as my pace quickens imperceptively to her senses, in terrible response to the only way I have known, so long that God on high, the laughable mentor can truly say alone. For this unholy tryst holds no quarter with the Mocker save the sordid need to watch. Look well, for the dead breeds tonight with a prayer for the poor, wretched soul given to the darkness... freely forsaken by the almighty. A love broken, another faith cast aside. And in the sanctioned strike my acquittal hangs until dawn. |

makes me wonder.. 'forsaken'? or was it the 'faith cast aside'? hmm.. this is an excellent write, makes a person think hard. Enjoyed. Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |
