Know this-

Rain will do most by night.
As it did upon our beginning
Attacking by force,
Over a blackening town
What a moonless auditorium
And the sky applauding.

There, we were caught.
Solitary as stone
In a desolate marketplace
Long piteous architecture,
Stark sentinels, but you enveloped them.
Why did they inspire you?.

It heaved like never before
Like a million deluges together.
As though a terrible doom-prophet swore it.
A torrential scourge upon, and around
Our concerted endeavour in defiance of Daddy.

I was under-clothed
You always over stated this
Though happy that you had me, finally
My wide consent filled you,
As the high and dark fuelled you.
You were so elated then,
No shower could dilute the bravado.

Oddly enough, You loved rain,
Though it un-fettered your hair,
All heavy-strung tress,
Long coal- washed kelp
Pasted and soaked,
Signed and blessed
To a sheer glistened face
Only youth could implore.
Such a dizzying smile
To relinquish the day
Into gaping submission.

You could defy that flood.
But how I hated the cold!
And the grim threat of light.
Which you knew, more than most,
And to save me from drowning
Took me almost inside you,
Folded secret, so tightly
As treasure grabbed drifting
By surviving hands
Jettisoned from a more noble wreck-
Still there and then,
It was an act more magical than most.

By your skin,
Under the leather and grease,
Shivering like a child
Mute, severely creased
The closest I had been to you
Unknowingly, now I can see,
The nearest that I could be kept.
Crushed by chest, or mouth
Fingers tended, by slightest build
Just legs and shape, faintish but growing-
All potential, demanding, a little inquisition.

You gave this at instinct, guarding skin,
Make-up rinsed, prematurely stripped.
Then the gut-ripped and urgent
Teamed with the most unrepeatable urge,
And streaked through with nerves?-
Only to begin with.

No words could best it,
And so in respect
With both mirrored-eyes set,
Revering that silence.
With no sound but falling
And a rib- thundered beat -
Prompting each to devour
A starved breath between meeting,
Screamed a sky compelled kiss
And whose the pulse kept the tone
At completion of this,
To the night, stays unknown.
