Like the beauty
of rose petals
as the slowly unfurl

Like the ripples on
a calm lake
as they move toward the shore

Like the first tinge
of soft pink
on the clouds at early morn

Like the first raindrop
that falls
before an April shower

Like the the brilliant gold
that paints the sky
as the sun goes down

Or the the sparkle
of dewdrops
on a verdant meadow

Like a brilliant rainbow
that hovers
after a downpour

Like the twittering of birds
unseen in the trees
at midday

Like the cooing of doves
in the rafters
of an empty barn

Or the beauty
of the silence
after a deluge of noise

Such is the wonder
that loving you
makes me feel.

This is so delicately beautiful, I am going to keep it. Perfect balance.
Expresses how I would feel.

The title 'Nez?. almost caused me not to read it, for whatever that is worth. So glad I didn't let that stop me. This is one of my favorites.

I enjoy this greatly.

This is pure poetry. I enjoyed this emensely. I went back and read it very slowly---envisioning the imagery and feeling the emotions that you so aptly described. Simply l-o-v-e-r-l-y!

does 'Nez stand for Inez?
The only other Nez I know is our Native American tribe, the Nez Perce.
Anyway, it is a beautiful poem, and I am glad I stopped by for a read. I enjoyed the imagery, and felt a great tenderness for nature, and for an individual human soul within your words.
