Eternity

Should I perish to this world
know that I love you
beyond any limits
of time and space.
This love will live on and on,
it will vibrate forever
throughout All there is.

Listen, my Love,
to the music playing
in your heart and know
that I shall continue to compose
the never-ending poem of love
we have started long ago.

You may cherish the memory
of what has been,
but more than that
cherish the beauty of what is,
for the memory relates
to defined spaces in the past
that slowly fade to grey.
But our love exists in the now,
it regenerates with every moment
and manifests in its brightest colours.

Know that Life holds me
in its eternal arms,
reach out and join me
in this loving embrace
now and always.

See, my Love, our souls
project the words “I love you”
on the screen of eternity.
Never tire to look for me!
Once airborne,
I’ll skip from star to star
and I’ll wave from the moon,
I’ll dance in your heart
and whisper into your ears
again and again those words
you know to be true ...
“I love you”.

Love, Margherita

Margherita, you know how I love romantic
poems, and this one is absolutely beautiful.
I wish the picture could go into the book
with it. You've got my vote, lady.

Oh my.. what a beautiful and touching piece. Indeed, love knows no bounds of time, space, or eternity.. I really enjoyed this.

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

Dear friends, thank you from my heart for reading and for your kind words. I felt this urge to say "I love you", we never really know, when it's too late ... but I do believe that eternity records and holds our hearts' emotions.
Love to all of you.

Loved the picture and the poem brought a bucket of tears. My daughter's best friend's new husband is on the front lines in Iraq and God willing, they will see each other again.

Hugs and prayers, Marti

No, my dear, we never do know when it will be too late - and this is a beautiful reminder that we should always be grateful for the blessings we do have, even if the grass seems greener on the other side...

Thank you so much for this poem!  It will be wonderful to hold it in my hands...

I know this feeling.... This is what I would say to my husband.... have said.... This love endures through all.

I loved the picture too.
