His tormented soul Longs to be free Of a lonely existence That rules his every day. He immerses himself Deep in his work As a distraction To keep his mind occupied. A glimmer of hope Is all he seeks To give him Reason to go on. That glimmer emerges From time to time Leading him to believe One day it will happen. Family and friends Are a comfort to him But it’s not enough To bring true joy to his life. One day, he hopes That glimmer will grow To reveal the one That will set his soul free. Believe in yourself and wonderous things will happen |
