Bursting bubbles, floating to the top
an expensive taste I can't afford

Long stem flutes cut away
reflecting crystal prisms in the light of love

Pours into the pain that aches
and steals away, forever always

Burnt out candles, soften the glow
melting slow, a sigh that blows

Hollow echo's ricocheting
rush the hush of blush, that keeps the fire burning

Tipping sipping
come tomorrow, drown my sorrow

Lay me down to sleep
spinning spinning

Cheek to cheek
a dance away that moves me

Roses in a vase, set in silver place
cool slipping hands

Pull away
as quickly as they came

Fizzles in the sizzle
without a trace to touch

Here's hoping you find a permanent sizzle if there is such a thing

I almost got dizzy this time, bluesygal.
Sad write, but effervescent to the end.

You are sizzling hot! As usual...

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I'm not myself today, a little under the weather~
You know you're getting older
when you wish you could take all those
naps that you refused to take as a kid.

But I do thank you so much for reading,
your wonderful replies mean a great deal to me.
