on the open road with the wind blowing in my hair

dreaming
for all else is gone
beer still tastes good
i open the fridge
the coldness
numbs me to the world
or is that the alcohol
i don't think it matters

the story of my life
could be told in few words
"he stared out the window
never going anywhere
he liked the dogwood tree
that he could see
and wished he could be
the tree did not rejoice
at the spring and the coming of its leaves
nor did it fall into despair
when it became bare
it lived the cycle of life
and flowed with it
but he could not do this

but he loved watching the tree that could"

the only people for me are the mad ones-mad to live, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at once--jack kerouac

noah,
i enhoy reading your work...you always offer an unique perspective...

well, the tree has taken time to grow and arrive at what it is today..i'm sure you can do that too, since you are already blessed with sensitivity, as evident in your work...
